Reflections from The Red Road

I attended my first sweat lodge in 2015 and began actively seeking out the teachings & ceremonies from The Red Road. The Red Road is a way of life that comes from the First People from the Americas. While it was classically used to describe Native American traditions from North America, you will find many cross overs across all Indigenous peoples way of life from North, Central, and South America.

This path has led me to the greatest source of healing & truth I have been able to find in my 14 years of “spiritual seeking.”

I no longer consider myself a seeker because these traditions have revealed something in my heart that I was always seeking outside of myself for. More on that at another time

Below are some reflections I wanted to share with you

  • Find a community thats genuinely wants you to thrive & succeed more than you believe is possible. You will grow beyond your perceived limitations as a result.

  • Expand your understanding of the nature of Reality, The Sacred, and Love. These 3 are the foundations of your life and your ability to unify your purpose & soul in a meaningful way.

  • Tread medicine of all sorts with respect and it will respect you and give that which you seek in your heart of hearts.

  • Treat medicine of all sorts with respect and it will respect you. give you that which you seek in your heart of hearts.

  • As a man, hold your brothers accountable and look for ways to support the women for they are the heart of a community and hold more than you know.

  • Transformation comes from the sacrifice and intentional suffering. What you are willing to give up dictates the heights you may climb.

  • It takes a village. Community is the center of the sacred traditions. Not one man, not one woman, but everyone together in unison.

  • Desire is the spark of creation. Ambition is the seed of self corruption and destruction

  • Hold the convictions of your heart close and your beliefs lightly

  • To find your life & purpose, seek healing and refuge in the sacred traditions. The fire, the water, the medicine, they will guide you.

  • Follow your joy, the purify of life that fuels your heart, it will illuminate your path.

See you all soon.
