Leadership, Embodiment and Saturn.

It was a cold winter afternoon on February 4th, 2015. It was my grandmother’s funeral at her church in Michigan. I was in my early 20s and had flown in from California to attend with the rest of my mother’s side of the family.

Cousins and relatives I hadn’t seen in years were in attendance.

She had 7 children and my mother was the middle child. Two of my uncles had past away due to chronic illnesses and there was alot of family history which had taken a toll on the rest of the siblings.

There was a point in the service where they asked the grandchildren to come up and say a few words. I felt a internal movement that prompted me to get up and share what was on my heart.

I had nothing planned to say and was standing at the podium looking out at everyone in attendance. There was something that began to speak from within my being. A voice & confidence that pierced the silent room with presence. I shared about how she would babysit my sisters and I when we were growing up locally. The words began to shift with the memories of the lake house where we would gather each summer for a 2 week vacation. All my cousins, aunts and uncles would come which created many foundational memories in my childhood like when I was 8 and my cousin told me where babies actually came from. XD

This ritual of gather at the lake house often included new developments in familial drama. No year was ever like the rest.

Towards the end of her life, she wanted us to continue gathering and encourage her children, my aunts and uncles, to put aside the differences and enjoy time together.
I referenced this in the 7 eternal minutes I was at that podium.

I deeply desired there to be healing amongst the family during a time of sadness and vulnerability.

“This is a time to lay the past to rest, to put differences aside, and love eachother with the time we all have left. That is what Betty always wanted and I hope we can achieve that here together at least for today.”

I walked back to my seat and the silence held the space as the priest began to conclude the ceremony.

During the reception several aunts and uncles came up to me and shared various words of encouragement and gratitude for the words I said. One of their wives delivered a sharp jab about me “continuing to be the golden boy” in the family and how nothing ever changes.

I will never forget when my uncle came up to me teary eyed and hugged me and thanked me for being so brave to share those words. He was the youngest and often received the brunt of alot of the family drama.

Shortly after I felt a hand on my shoulder and a whisper in my ear. “You are going to be so powerful when you grow up.”

I turned and the woman walked away in her fur coat that reminded me of Cruella Deville’s. I did not recognize the woman and asked my cousin. The woman was my deceased uncle’s first wife, the mother of my two eldest cousins.

Later I asked my mother about her as I knew very little about her. She said that she was an astrologer and when I was born she did a birth chart reading for me. I contacted her a year later and that was my introduction to formally studying astrology in 2016.

My aunt’s response to my email to her about her comment.

This was a moment in my life when I the emotion and psychic feeling of true leadership. A rising energy that comes from the depths of our beings as our values, morals, ethics, and intentions all align in a singular direction regardless of the environment and those around us.

It is engraved in my mind like a snapshot in time. I return to this place to remember the feeling of being fully embodied with pure presence and allowing something else to speak from my being.

I share this with you because this feeling of leadership and embodied presence is what makes someone want to follow you. Its a field a energy that is clean, pure, and authentic, unclouded by the ego or personality. This resonance signals to others what is possible, it carries inspiration and aspiration as they recognize they want to cultivate that within themself as well. Whether its in business, social circles, and hiring you to work with them.

The next several years in online business those that can cultivate this within themselves and lead from their hearts will be true winners as the old paradigm of influencers and reaction based marketing begins to fall away. We will see a new level of expectation from those that that are willing to spend their time, money and energy that will require online business owners to fully embody their business & brand.

Our messaging, our content, our marketing, must make this transition from being open and inviting to a field of resonance that inspires action and evolution.

This is the inner work of Saturn that builds a foundation for which we can create the masterpiece of our lives and fully become self sufficient in creating our income and financial freedom.

Self leadership is the foundation of which one builds a movement and world. Embodiment and presence is what attracts others to want to partake in that new reality. You as a higher conscious individual have this innately within you as you began to seek outside the norm of culture & societal paradigms as you asked the question “is this all there is?”

That is the spark that lights the fire of building a new world through aligning with our dharma and spiritual evolution.

You are not alone in this. Everyone feels it. But you will be one of the few who owns it.

If you are curious on how you can begin to shift into this new paradigm of self leadership & embodied business, my friend and business astrology mentor Kacy Danae has a absolute masterpiece of a mini course on this topic that I would like to invite you to check out.

Until next time,
