Alignment and Self-Responsibility
Sometimes in life & business, you only realize what true alignment looks like for you when you make a mistake or “wrong” decision.
Outside of basic morality(see 10 commandments), I really don’t believe in wrong decisions - only choices that come with varying degrees of consequences and or teaching/learning moments.
I find that as one matures in their own wakefulness, individuality & self expression, their becomes a development of one’s moral & ethical code along with the establish of boundaries for what one allows into their life.
This comes through a series of experiences, trials and errors, and feedback loops that begin to reveal what being in alignment with our essence & intention for life really looks like.
When we apply this to business, we can create quite a phenomenal experience for everyone involved as long as seek to understand and know what that alignment looks like both in theory & practice.
The only way to know this however, is through practice and effort.
For example, the past several months have shown me that I really enjoy the freedom of being able to take a month and a half off to pursue other areas of my life like my medicine path, and then get right back into deep work mode with my business.
In order to stay in that alignment, there are necessary steps I need to take to keep that energy flowing. For example…
Backend systems that keep the marketing & content flowing when I may be offline.
Seasonal business planning around launches of intensives or courses to product larger influx of cash throughout the year.
Client expectations and communications so everyone is very aware ahead of time of a potential downtime.
These would seem like a no brainer to most people, but the reality is that most people do not associate this with their level of energy or frequency of alignment in their own life. They see these things as tasks or expectations, rather than an aspect of world creation.
Every action, thought, and relationship contributes to our world creation while reinforcing or shifting our world view. These lines of attention that connect our mental, spiritual & emotional energy to various sources of impressions have the ability to drain us…or amplify us…
For example - Stop watching the news for 2 weeks, see how you feel. Go on a walk first thing every morning and sit with the sunrise. limit your phone usage to an hour a day for calls & texts. These are surface level easy to apply examples but I think you get the point as to what I mean when I say “lines of attention.”
Part of what I find makes people successful in the online business space is the ability to intentionally detach from the mass dream that a majority of people subscribe to in the world.
No, I am not talking about escapism or “dropping out”, but rather taking more self responsibility & accountability for your own reality. This can manifest in a myriad of ways.
Unsubscribing from language usage that is negatively reinforcing in nature
Looking at every experience as a opportunity to see what is being reflected back at you knowing that if you didn’t have some thread of that energy inside of you, it wouldn’t be present in that moment.
Adopting various indigenous world views like ho'oponopono, that focus both on accountability, forgiveness and self responsibility.
Holding your boundaries in business relationships which may include dropping or forgoing clients that don’t align with the energy you are currently cultivating in your own life. Even if the pay cut ‘hurts’, you are better off without it out.
I’ve found that this way of life is intellectually talked about quite a bit in spiritual circles, but the practice and implementation of it is rather filled with tests & trials to see if you truly are serious about it.
Alignment is the gateway of the creation process. It dictates a smooth or bumpy road.
Knowing what you want - most people think about the desired outcome, rather than the process and all the details involved.
Having a true intent - becoming clear on and with the resolve
Holding that intention - using the will to see it through to creation.
The sorting process - life begins to create and form around the intent and we are responsible for seeing it through to full completion rather than partial manifestation.
Like Uncle Ben once said, “Great power comes with great responsibility.”
Our ability to create and invoke are innate to being human. The sleeping state is when we forget that and act based on our human biological machine’s impulse for safety, security, and survival.
This passivity is one of the great barriers to art, creation, and human achievement at any level.
People live their whole lives out of alignment for the sake of comfort and security.
If you have acknowledged this within yourself at some point, you know the feeling of the fire being ignited to say never again.
By becoming conscious of our energetic alignments with and towards the reality we wish to experience, we open ourselves up to deeper knowledge of self and our role within the universe as a whole.
It may sound pretty esoteric, but I assure you, it is the most human and simple thing possible because we begin to interact with the spirit of our humanity beyond the cultural and societal norms or impressions we believe to be “real”.
If you are unsure of what alignment is for you… Seek to understand. Demand that life show you.
Life is a call/response living matrix of intelligence. Some call it God, others Source or divine providence, maybe just “the universe” will do.
Whatever label you apply to it - religious, spiritual, or not, its still just you waiting for you to reach beyond the electro magnetic system that holds our consciousness in a local point of awareness known as our body.
Now how is that for a world view?
Get out there and play. Seek understanding of your energetic flow, what makes you feel alive, what gives you joy and happiness. Put the mind down for a minute and see what truly feels good.
Thats life - dont waste it.
Transmitting to you live from Phoenix Arizona, having just enjoyed my newphew’s 1st birthday, this has been your daily reminder that you are worth the effort to go beyond the known and live in a powerful way.
